Welcome to the informational page for the PKU Action Group listserve.
The PKU Action Group is a volunteer organization committed to supporting Washington State’s PKU community. Our mission statement is as follows: The PKU Action Group, in cooperation with the University of Washington PKU/Biochemical Genetics Clinic, provides education and support to individuals and families living with phenylketonuria (PKU).
The PKU Action Group provides supportive services to all families with PKU in Washington State regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.
Throughout the year, the Action Group provides a variety of programs and services such as family outreach, camp scholarships, cooking classes, college scholarships and Science Night. Updates about these programs will be posted to this list periodically. This list provides information about those activities and other announcements related to PKU in Washington State, and is not intended to be a discussion group. Several national discussion groups have been set up; more information about these can be found at www.pkunews.org. If you need medical advice, please contact your health care provider.
Your information will not be shared with any other organizations. The information that you provide to the PKU Action Group is confidential. There will be no solicitations or advertising distributed on the listserve. All of the information provided will be pertinent to the PKU community.
