| Pedaling for the PKU Scholarship Fund! | ||
|
On August 28th and 29th, 2004, Cris Trahms, University of Washington PKU Program Director, and Doug Peterson, PKU Action Group President, cycled along with 1498 others in the Ride Around Puget Sound (RAPSody). That's right, Cris and Doug rode their bikes 150 miles in 2 days!! Cris and Doug were "Pedaling for a Purpose," raising money for the PKU Action Group. The PKU Action Group is a non-profit group of parents and professionals that supports individuals and families with PKU in Washington State. When you contribute to the PKU Action Group you send kids with PKU to camp, support the production of informational videos and provide other resources for families and physicians. Contributions from the 2004 RAPSody Ride are specifically earmarked for PAG Scholarships for Washington state high school students who have PKU. If you would like to be a part of this fundraising event for the PKU Action Group in 2005, stay tuned! More information will become available on the PAG website.
